Cookie policy

1. What cookies and similar technologies are

Cookies are small text files a website stores in your browser. Similar technologies include browser storage (localStorage), pixels (tiny images that record a visit) and tags loaded through Google Tag Manager. Cookies can be first-party (set by woofrank.com) or third-party (set by another company), and session (deleted when you close the browser) or persistent (kept until they expire).

2. Who sets them

  • WoofRank (first-party browser storage for your consent choice and the currency shown on the pricing page).
  • Google (Google Analytics 4, Google Tag Manager, and Google Ads if we run remarketing).
  • Microsoft (Clarity).
  • Meta and LinkedIn, only if we run advertising campaigns with their pixels. Currently enabled: none.
  • Cal.com, only on the booking page when the calendar loads.

3. Categories and the exact cookies

Declining analytics does not remove these; the site cannot work without them.

Once analytics is switched on, a banner asks every visitor, from anywhere in the world, whether they accept analytics. Nothing in the analytics or advertising categories loads until you click Accept, and Accept covers analytics only: the advertising signals stay denied until we add an advertising choice to the banner. Decline is one click on the same banner, in a button of the same size. Your choice, and the date you made it, are stored in your browser for 12 months, after which we ask again. You can change your mind at any time using the Cookie settings link in the footer, which reopens the banner; if you decline after accepting, the analytics tags stop, their cookies are deleted and the page reloads.

We pass your choice to Google through Consent Mode v2 (the signals ad_storage, analytics_storage, ad_user_data and ad_personalization, all set to denied by default) and to Microsoft Clarity through its consent signal. Under India's DPDP Act we treat analytics and advertising cookies as requiring your consent, and we apply the same rule to every visitor.

5. Managing cookies elsewhere

You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings (Chrome, Safari, Firefox and Edge all have a cookies section), opt out of Google's ad personalisation at adssettings.google.com, install the Google Analytics opt-out add-on, adjust Meta ad preferences at facebook.com/adpreferences, use youronlinechoices.eu in the EU or aboutads.info in the US, and manage Microsoft ad settings at account.microsoft.com/privacy/ad-settings. Opting out this way does not remove the strictly necessary items.

6. Where the data goes

Google, Microsoft and Meta process cookie data in the United States and the European Union under Standard Contractual Clauses or the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. Their policies: How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services, the Google Privacy Policy, the Microsoft Privacy Statement, and the Meta Privacy Policy.

7. Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control

Because nothing in the analytics or advertising categories loads until you accept, a Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signal from your browser is respected by default: if you never click Accept, nothing in those categories is set.

8. Changes and contact

We update this page whenever the tags on the site change. Questions to woofrank26@gmail.com. Our Grievance Officer and data contact is named in the privacy policy.
